The Ayahuasca Retreats

-The Sowewankeri Amazon Healing Centre organizes Ayahuasca Retreats in the Peruvian Amazon to work with the Ayahuasca Master Plant during one week of cleansing, healthy diet, three ceremonies and integration teachings, while being connected with nature and the elements.

The retreats are directed to people who look for a mature and reflexive relationship with the master plants, with a responsible motivation to heal the body, mind, spirit, emotions, and to discover new paths of personal evolution and spiritual balance.

During the retreat we will be forming strong relations with the master plant’s healing power and with our own healing processes. In order to make this possible, it is essential to do three Ayahuasca Ceremonies, to practice being in isolation - in our cabins, to only eat boiled food - without salt and sugar, and to share the evolution of our experiences during integration discussions in the evenings. The effort we make in preparation for the Ayahuasca ceremonies such as changing our diet during a week is directly related to the healing and learning process that we will gain.

The retreats include:

  • Purification showers in our natural water spring.
  • Purification and aromatic plants baths.
  • Three Ayahuasca sessions.
  • Integration discussions.
  • Walks through the forest of the Sowewankeri Centre (high forest) and of the Iron Wood Reserve (low forest).
  • Lectures/talks on medicinal plants and traditional medicine in our Ethno Botanical Garden.
  • Lodging and meals at the Sowewankeri Centre.
  • Transportation from the airport to the Sowewankeri Centre and return.

The retreat includes:

  • Personal attention and guiding from our Sowewankeri Family.
  • Discussions and consultations with each participant.
  • Daily interaction with the retreat guide (Ayahuasquero).
  • A spectacular “eagle’s” view of the green Amazon horizon.
  • Connection with the Amazon and the voices of the Rainforest.
